A PRACTICAL APPROACH TO LEARNING
CMJI is a center for learning and leadership grounded in the Hebraic roots of Scripture while true to New Covenant faith. We exist to engage members of the global body of Messiah in order to reach Jewish people with the Gospel, to enrich the Body of Messiah with Messianic Jewish understanding of the Scriptures and to empower a future generation of leaders for congregational leadership and ministries within the global Jewish community. Make CMJI your hub for learning and leadership training grounded in the Hebraic roots of Scripture while remaining true to New Covenant faith.
Frequently Asked Questions
There are three options for taking a course. The first option is to take the course onsite. Three times a year CMJI invites an instructor to teach a course. Two of those courses are offered in Calgary at Beth Shechinah, and the third yearly course alternates between Edmonton and Lethbridge. Details for location will always be indicated when the course is advertised. The second option is to take the course online through this website when the course is sufficiently developed for online delivery. The third option is to take the course online and for credit through Rocky Mountain College (RMC). The courses that are RMC ready will be indicated on this website. CMJI and RMC have a collaborative relationship where you can earn credits toward a degree through RMC.
All on-site courses are 12 hours in length and held over the weekend. The Friday evening sessions last for 3 hours. The duration of the Saturday sessions is 5 hours and the duration for Sunday sessions is 4 hours for a total of 12 hours of lecture time.
If the course is taken for one credit and onsite, then it involves listening to 12 hours of lecture and an additional 12 hours of student assignment based on syllabus requirements for a total of 24 hours. If the course is taken online the same 24 hours total time will be involved but a student can proceed at their own pace at the discretion of the course facilitator.
At present we are accredited with Rocky Mountain College and the Council of Messianic Jewish Congregations of Alberta. We will be seeking accreditation with other like-minded organizations in the future.
